ARTIST BIO

William deYampert is an American mixed media artist whose work transcends traditional boundaries. His multidisciplinary practice integrates diverse materials and techniques—including intaglio, silkscreen, photography, painting, and collage—to create symbolic compositions rich with mythic imagery and vibrant color.

His work evokes dreamlike landscapes that explore anthropology, archaeology, and multidimensional realms, forming a poetic visual language that is both bold and contemplative. Themes of the ancient world, multidimensional planes of experience, and the surreal intertwine throughout his work, encouraging viewers to engage with deeper levels of perception and consciousness.

Drawing from an extensive archive of his own relics of printmaking, photography and found imagery, his work transforms collected visual references into richly layered compositions that bridge past and present, as well as the conscious and unconscious.

His work has been exhibited at ART MIAMI (2022, Robert Fontaine Gallery) and at institutions including the School of Visual Arts, Parsons School of Design in New York City, and Oolite Arts Center in Miami.

William deYampert lives and works in Miami after more than twenty years in New York City. He holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Emory University and an M.A. in Graphic Design from Parsons School of Design.
